Foxconn, BYD among top exporters as Chinese-listed firms hit overseas revenue milestone 06.05.2026

Mainland China-listed companies have achieved a significant global financial milestone, with overseas revenues reaching a record 12.4 trillion yuan (US$1.8 trillion) last year, constituting nearly 17 per cent of their total income. This surge in international earnings is primarily driven by major electronic and automobile manufacturers, including Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII) and BYD, alongside energy giant PetroChina. FII, the Shanghai-listed unit of Taiwan's Foxconn, and Shenzhen-listed BYD, a prominent electric vehicle and electronics component manufacturer, are highlighted as top performers, with FII reporting substantial revenue from its Mexico plant and BYD experiencing significant sales growth for its new energy vehicles in international markets like Thailand, Singapore, Brazil, and Europe.
