Für mehr als 16 Millionen Dollar: Begehrteste Pokémon-Sammelkarte der Welt wechselt den Besitzer 17.02.2026

Wrestler and influencer Logan Paul has sold his highly coveted "Pikachu Illustrator" Pokémon card for a record-breaking $16.5 million USD (approximately €13.9 million). The sale, which includes the gold chain Paul wore when showcasing the card at WrestleMania 38, sets a new Guinness World Record for the highest price ever paid for a trading card. The buyer is AJ Scaramucci, son of Anthony Scaramucci, who plans to use this acquisition as a starting point for his ambitious "global treasure hunt" collection. The "Pikachu Illustrator" card, originally awarded as a prize in a 1998 Japanese drawing contest, is exceptionally rare, with an estimated 40 copies in existence, and Paul's specific card is in perfect condition (PSA 10). Paul originally purchased the card for $4 million in 2021 and invested over $5.2 million in total to acquire the best-graded example.
