Fujairah Police warns against leaving children in cars as summer temperatures rise 02.06.2026

Fujairah Police is issuing a stern warning to parents and drivers against leaving children unsupervised in cars, emphasizing the severe risks posed by rapidly escalating interior temperatures, especially as summer approaches. The General Command of Fujairah Police highlighted on X that a car's internal temperature can quickly reach dangerous, even fatal, levels for children. This alert coincides with the UAE's entry into the pre-summer period, with the Emirates Astronomical Society noting that the climatic summer, beginning June 1 and lasting through August, is expected to see daily highs between 41°C and 43°C, with potential heatwaves pushing temperatures even higher. Children's heightened vulnerability to heatstroke in such enclosed environments is a primary concern for authorities.
