BrewDog has announced the immediate closure of 38 of its bars, leading to 484 redundancies, following a £33 million rescue deal where US firm Tilray Brands acquired the BrewDog brand, its UK brewing operations, and 11 pub venues across the UK and Ireland. This sale occurred after BrewDog experienced significant financial difficulties, including a £37 million loss in the previous year, and had appointed administrators to manage the process. While 484 employees will be made redundant, 733 staff members will transition to employment with Tilray Brands UK. The closures are effective immediately, impacting various locations, with specific venues like DogHouse Manchester and Manchester Outpost listed among those shutting down.
