Garbage dump along Kapasia school wall makes attending classes unbearable 08.06.2026

Students and staff at Bangataj Tajuddin Adarsha High School in Kapasia, Gazipur, are facing an unbearable situation due to a growing garbage dump adjacent to the school's southern boundary wall, situated along the Kapasia-Sreepur regional road. The accumulated waste, consisting of rotten market produce, restaurant leftovers, poultry waste, and household trash, has created a pervasive foul odour and an unhealthy environment that significantly disrupts academic activities and student concentration. Parents and local residents are concerned about the severe health risks posed to children and are demanding immediate action to remove the waste, which is reportedly dumped under the cover of darkness. School authorities have notified higher officials, and local administration representatives have promised prompt investigation and resolution.
