A Forsa survey for RTL and ntv, conducted between February 20 and 23, reveals that 65% of Germans believe Ukraine should not cede territories not yet conquered by Russia, even for peace. Russia demands Ukraine surrender all areas in the illegally annexed Donbass, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions as a condition for peace, a stance Ukraine rejects. While President Zelenskyy acknowledges potential temporary territorial loss, Ukraine refuses to give up unconquered land. The poll, involving 1003 people, found 24% support ceding such areas. Notably, 41% in East Germany favor concessions, compared to 21% in West Germany, and 52% of AfD supporters back territorial cessions.
