Laut APA-Informationen haben sich ORF-Journalistinnen und -Journalisten mehrheitlich für Lisa Totzauer, die Chefin des TV-Magazins, als zukünftige ORF-Generaldirektorin ab 2027 ausgesprochen. Bei einer internen Abstimmung erhielt Totzauer 51,3 Prozent der rund 600 abgegebenen Stimmen. Auf den Plätzen zwei und drei folgten APA-CEO Clemens Pig mit 18,0 Prozent und der ehemalige ProSiebenSat.1Puls4-Geschäftsführer Markus Breitenecker mit 13,0 Prozent. Die eigentliche Entscheidung treffen am Donnerstag die 35 ORF-Stiftungsrätinnen und -räte, nachdem sich neun Kandidaten, darunter Totzauer, Pig, Breitenecker und Johannes Larcher, für ein Hearing qualifiziert haben.
