German police raid neo-Nazi criminal youth groups 06.05.2026

German federal prosecutors, with the involvement of over 600 police officers, conducted raids on approximately 50 locations across 12 states, primarily in eastern and southern Germany, on Wednesday. The operation targeted individuals suspected of belonging to two neo-Nazi youth groups, "Jung & Stark" (JS) and "Deutsche Jugend Voran" (DJV), accused of organizing violence via social media and forming nationwide networks. Prosecutors stated that some members allegedly attacked left-wing activists and individuals perceived as pedophiles, resulting in significant injuries to victims. The raids come amid growing concerns in Germany about young people being drawn into far-right extremism and violence. JS and DJV, which operate openly on social media platforms like Telegram and Instagram, have been noted for their militant approach and recruitment efforts targeting young men.
