The body discovered yesterday in the Amstel River, near the Halvemaansbrug, has been identified as Sophia, a 37-year-old woman from The Hague who had been missing since Friday, February 20th. Her remains were found around 5:20 PM, and the police confirmed her identity this morning. Authorities had issued an appeal for information on Tuesday after she was last seen at Amstel Station.
