In a newly unsealed federal court petition, Ghislaine Maxwell contends that millions of documents released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act have exposed alleged legal and constitutional violations that render her 2021 sex-trafficking conviction “invalid, unsafe and infirm.” Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence at a federal prison camp in Texas, argues that the newly disclosed records expand the “evidentiary landscape” of her case beyond what was considered by the trial judge and appellate courts. She claims no reasonable juror would have convicted her had these documents been available for cross-examination. Representing herself, Maxwell seeks to have her conviction vacated or her sentence reduced.
