Metsähallitus has begun demanding a right-of-use agreement from the gold miners of Lemmenjoki for the cabins located in the gold panning areas. The agreement would cover the retention of buildings and structures located in Lemmenjoki National Park on state land. The gold miners are dismayed by the new demand, and the Lapland Gold Miners' Association considers it illegal.
