One year after implementing a two-tier local government model, Phú Thọ Province has experienced significant socio-economic growth, with its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increasing by at least 10% in the first six months of 2026. This growth is attributed to governance reforms, digital transformation, and a more transparent investment environment, which have improved public services and enhanced competitiveness. The province's state budget revenue reached approximately VNĐ33.3 trillion ($1,265 million), a 20% rise, and foreign direct investment surged to $1.32 billion, 3.6 times higher than the previous year. Phú Thọ also ranked among the top five provinces in the 2025 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), demonstrating strong performance in resource access, proactive governance, and control of informal costs, while digital infrastructure now covers 100% of communes and wards with broadband.
