Google introduces “Skills” in Chrome to make Gemini prompts instantly reusable 14.04.2026

Google has introduced a new feature called "Skills" in its Chrome browser, designed to enhance the usability of its AI chatbot, Gemini. This innovation allows users to save frequently used Gemini prompts, making them instantly reusable with a single click. Previously, users had to manually re-enter or copy-paste prompts each time they wanted Gemini to perform a specific task within Chrome. "Skills" streamline this process, offering quick access to saved commands by typing a forward slash ( / ) or clicking a plus button within Gemini. The feature is available on the desktop version of Chrome and syncs saved Skills across devices for users logged into their Google accounts. While Skills execute immediately, they still adhere to Gemini's existing security protocols, requiring user confirmation for sensitive actions like calendar entries or message sending.
