Google’s $9.99-per-month AI health coach launches May 19 07.05.2026

Google is launching a new AI-powered health coach on May 19 as part of a rebranded Google Health app, formerly the Fitbit app. This subscription service, priced at $9.99 per month or $99 annually, will leverage Google's Gemini AI to offer personalized fitness, sleep, and wellness advice. The coach customizes guidance based on user-provided information such as health goals, routines, available equipment, and injuries, allowing natural language interaction for updates and logging workouts or meals. The AI will integrate data from various sources, including fitness metrics, sleep tracking, environmental factors, nutrition, cycle tracking, and optionally U.S. medical records. This AI-driven coaching will also be integrated into the Fitness, Sleep, and Health tabs of the app, with initial availability for select Fitbit and Pixel Watch users, and broader device support planned.
