Md Sanwar Hossain Molla, the Treasurer of the Gopalganj Sadar upazila Awami League, has officially resigned from his position and joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) with several hundred supporters. The move occurred this afternoon in the Jangal Bazar area of Nijra union, where Molla formally presented flowers to Gopalganj-2 lawmaker KM Babar, marking his induction into the BNP. Molla stated that his decision was influenced by his observations of local political conditions after returning to Bangladesh following a two-year stay abroad. Nurul Islam Sheikh, former vice-president of Nijra union Awami League, also joined the BNP alongside Molla and his supporters.
