The government, specifically the Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense, is analyzing a proposal to tighten criminal regulations regarding military discipline. According to "Rzeczpospolita," the project was prepared by the Criminal Law Codification Commission. It entails a significant increase in penalties for a soldier's disobedience to an order in a combat situation. Currently, the penalty is up to 3 years in prison, while the proposed changes provide for a sentence ranging from 30 years of imprisonment to life imprisonment.
