The Indian government, through the Publications Division, has made its flagship journals—Yojana, Kurukshetra, Aajkal, Bal Bharati, and the weekly Employment News—available for free on Prasar Bharati's WAVES OTT platform. This initiative, launched on April 9, 2026, aims to democratize access to credible and informative content nationwide. In addition to the journals, 227 e-books are currently accessible without charge, with plans to add approximately 300 more at a nominal cost by the end of April. Printed books can also be purchased via the WAVES platform through the CSC Grameen eStore under the ONDC framework, enhancing accessibility for readers across the country.
