Grüne empört: Tempo 30 auf B471 gilt nur eine Stunde am Tag 26.02.2026

In Putzbrunn, a new speed limit of 30 km/h on the B471, initially announced as a significant victory for the Green party after years of advocacy, has sparked outrage due to its severe limitation. Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) had informed the municipal building committee that the 30 km/h zone would apply to the entire B471 through Putzbrunn starting in March, citing the presence of schoolchildren and bus commuters as justification. However, it was later revealed that this restriction is only in effect for one hour each morning, from 7 AM to 8 AM. The Green party, represented by Tom Kalesse, has criticized this "one-hour speed reduction" as a "bad joke" that does not adequately address traffic safety concerns for children attending afternoon care or other residents and pedestrians along the busy road. Consequently, the Green faction has submitted a motion to extend the speed limit to a permanent restriction, at least from 7 AM to 5 PM.
