« Une loi régressive » ? : en Argentine, la grève générale est décrétée contre la réforme du travail de Javier Mileià 05h13 19.02.2026

Argentina is experiencing its fourth general strike in just over two years as the powerful CGT union protests President Javier Milei's labor reform bill, which aims to deregulate the workforce and is currently advancing in Parliament. The 24-hour strike, which began at midnight local time, is expected to significantly disrupt transportation, public services, and commerce, with Aerolineas Argentinas canceling 255 flights affecting over 30,000 passengers. The reform, described by the CGT as "regressive" and a move towards precarity, seeks to facilitate dismissals, reduce severance pay, extend working hours, and limit strike actions, while the government argues it will boost employment and combat informal labor. Despite widespread social resistance, the bill was approved by the Senate with some concessions and is anticipated to pass the Chamber of Deputies, though it may require further Senate review.
