Guerre en Ukraine : Les négociations de paix échouent, Kiev s’insurge contre les Jeux paralympiques et va les boycotter 18.02.2026

Peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Geneva have stalled, with President Volodymyr Zelensky citing significant differences on key issues like territories and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, despite agreement on most points for a potential ceasefire monitored by the US. Concurrently, Ukraine announced a boycott of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Paralympics' official events in protest of the International Paralympic Committee's decision to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete under their national flags. This comes as Russia continues to target Ukrainian infrastructure, leaving approximately 100,000 people in Odessa without electricity following recent strikes. Meanwhile, Slovakia declared a state of emergency regarding oil supply due to the interruption of Russian deliveries via the Druzhba pipeline, with Prime Minister Robert Fico accusing Ukraine of "blackmail" over repairs.
