Handball. Guillaume Gille quitte officiellement son poste de sélectionneur, Talant Dujshebaev lui succède 24.02.2026

Guillaume Gille has officially resigned as the head coach of the French men's national handball team, announcing his departure on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, following three consecutive major tournaments without reaching a final, including an early exit from the recent Euro 2026. The 49-year-old Frenchman, who took over in 2020, was replaced by Spanish coach Talant Dujshebaev, the current manager of Kielce. Dujshebaev, a former Spanish international and experienced coach who previously led Poland and Hungary, will also continue his role at Kielce, marking a unique dual-role appointment in modern French handball history. His immediate priority will be to guide France to qualification for the 2027 World Championship in the upcoming matches against the Czech Republic.
