Harsh Words from Principal Shocked by Court Decision Regarding Severina: 'What Kind of Message Is That?' 07.07.2026. at 22:22 07.07.2026

The principal of an elementary school in Zagreb, Ljiljana Klinger, expressed great astonishment after the Municipal Criminal Court in Zagreb acquitted singer Severina Vučković of intrusive behavior. The proceedings were initiated by the Municipal State Attorney's Office due to more than 150 unpleasant messages sent to Klinger and the former director of the Polyclinic for Child and Youth Protection, Gordana Buljan Flander. Klinger criticized the verdict, stating that it sends the wrong message to society that inappropriate behavior is acceptable if a person is in an emotional state. The principal highlighted the difference in criteria applied to children and adults and expressed doubt regarding equality before the law. She emphasized the importance of accountability and a rich vocabulary, suggesting that such a court decision is problematic for maintaining social norms and moral standards in the public sphere.
