Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal stated that the current government's foreign policy is being conducted based on the priorities mentioned in the constitution, international commitments, and the election manifesto. The government has prioritized balanced bilateral relations, economic diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation. He informed that visits to India and China led to productive discussions to expand cooperation in various sectors such as infrastructure, connectivity, energy, trade, and investment.
