Headteacher threw eggs at pupils and said one was ‘wide as a fridge’ 9h ago

Adam Webb, the former headteacher of Build A Future Independent School (BAF) in Boston, Lincolnshire, has been indefinitely banned from the teaching profession following a professional conduct hearing. The panel found that between September 2020 and January 2021, Webb engaged in serious misconduct, including throwing eggs and stones at or near pupils, and using derogatory, sexualised, abusive, and ableist language. He notably referred to one pupil as being "as wide as a fridge" and "as wide as a bus," and made inappropriate comments about a pupil's mother. The panel concluded that Webb failed to safeguard vulnerable children under his care, and his actions constituted a profound and sustained departure from expected professional standards, impacting both pupils and staff.
