Here's how to qualify for a payment from a Google data settlement 09.04.2026

Android phone users in the U.S. can now claim a portion of a $135 million class-action settlement with Google, known as Taylor v. Google LLC, which alleged the company unnecessarily collected cellular data. To qualify, individuals must have used an Android device with a cellular data plan to access the internet between November 12, 2017, and the settlement's final approval date, and not be part of a similar California lawsuit. Google denied wrongdoing, stating the case misrepresented standard industry practices. Payments are capped at $100 per eligible class member, and claimants must select a preferred payment method on the settlement website to receive funds. The deadline to object or exclude oneself is May 29, with final court approval scheduled for June 23.
