High Court Confirms Extradition of Extremist Liebichová from Czechia to Germany 07.07.2026

The Prague High Court has legally confirmed the decision of the Pilsen Regional Court to extradite German right-wing extremist Marly Svenju Liebichová to the Federal Republic of Germany. The fifty-five-year-old Liebichová was detained near Aš in April on the basis of a European arrest warrant. In Germany, she was sentenced in 2023 to 1.5 years in prison for incitement, defamation, and copyright infringement. The case has sparked controversy due to her official gender reassignment from male to female, which she allegedly intended to use to avoid being sent to a male prison. Liebichová defended herself by claiming she is at risk in German prisons, but judicial authorities dismissed these arguments as tactical. The High Court rejected her complaints regarding the extradition as well as the alleged bias of the judge. She is now expected to be handed over to German authorities through standard police procedures within the next ten days.
