High-ranking Chinese official Ma Xingrui has been expelled from the Communist Party by the party's anti-corruption body, state news agency Xinhua reports. Ma was not only a member of the Politburo, China's highest decision-making body, but also served as the party secretary of the Xinjiang autonomous region from 2021 to 2025. He is accused of illegally arranging jobs for others, assisting family members in purchasing real estate below market value, and receiving illegal gifts.
