The House Prosecution Panel has announced its readiness to present at least one witness on the first day of Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial, scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026. House Impeachment Prosecutor Rep. Terry Ridon stated in a Friday interview that while the initial understanding is one witness per trial day, the panel may present additional witnesses to expedite the proceedings. The trial is set to convene at the Senate impeachment court at 2 p.m., where pending issues such as the appointment of a presiding officer, the opening of a sealed BIR box, and allowing private prosecutors to examine witnesses are expected to be addressed.
