How Killers Disguised As NDLEA Operatives To Strike Plateau Community – Governor Mutfwang 04.04.2026

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang revealed that the perpetrators of the recent deadly attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, disguised themselves as National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives to gain access to the community. This deception allowed the gunmen to launch their assault, resulting in at least 28 fatalities and numerous injuries. Governor Mutfwang explained that the attackers exploited the public's familiarity with NDLEA operations, leading residents to initially mistake them for legitimate officers. Despite the ongoing investigation and the collection of actionable intelligence, no arrests have been made as of the interview. The governor emphasized the attack's calculated nature and potential motive to destabilize the state, urging calm among residents.
