How parties that do not receive the Party Fund survive 14.07.2026

In a scenario where most Brazilian parties rely heavily on the Party Fund, a group of nine parties demonstrates an alternative reality of political financing. 2025 accountability data reveals that parties such as Democracia Cristã (DC), PSTU, Agir, Missão, UP, Mobiliza, Democrata, PCB, and PRTB obtained 99.9% or 100% of their revenue from sources such as individual donations, member contributions, and other miscellaneous revenues. This financial independence is possible, in part, due to the 2017 constitutional rule that requires a minimum performance in elections for the Chamber of Deputies to access the fund, such as obtaining at least 3% of the valid votes nationwide or electing 15 federal deputies.
