“I am not a semester fee, I am a student”: Protest in front of NATFIZ, demanding the resignation of Miroslav Dachev 04.07.2026

Students from NATFIZ held a protest in front of the academy demanding the resignation of Rector Miroslav Dachev, calling him "DutyWeAre" (DzhuzniSmeVi). They are insisting that he take responsibility for the crisis within the institution, citing issues such as pressure on faculty and students, a lack of transparency regarding electricity bills in the dormitory, and interference in the educational process. The students have also sent a letter to the Prime Minister, Parliament, and other institutions. The academic trade union organization recognizes the right to protest but calls for responsibility and factual accuracy, noting that no official reports of pressure have been received. They point to NATFIZ's high accreditation rating and express concerns that protests during the university entrance exams could damage the academy's image.
