Ille-et-Vilaine : un projet d'envergure pour l'aménagement du bourg de cette commune 19.02.2026

The municipality of Saint-Germain-en-Coglès, near Fougères in Ille-et-Vilaine, has received the conclusions of a major urban development study conducted by the Rennes-based firm Prigent et associés. This eighteen-month project involved extensive public consultation, including an online questionnaire (November 8, 2024 - January 15, 2025), a workshop for residents and locals, and another for merchants and artisans, to gather input on improving the quality of life in the town center. Key objectives include enhancing pedestrian, cyclist, and disabled access, optimizing parking for vehicles and bicycles, creating a more tranquil town center with shared spaces and soft links, and beautifying the town entrances while respecting its architectural and landscape identity. The estimated cost for this multi-phase project, potentially starting in 2027 and spanning a full term, is €5 million.
