On Wednesday, February 18th, police in Avignon and Les Angles conducted a joint operation along the Rhône River, resulting in the seizure of ten white vans. These vehicles had been parked for an extended period on land belonging to the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, specifically on Rue d’Aramon in Les Angles, near the A.S.P.T.T. Avignon tennis club. Authorities confiscated the vans to halt their use for public prostitution. While the vehicles were impounded, the owners were not apprehended and were permitted to retrieve their personal belongings, indicating the operation's primary focus was on the vehicles themselves rather than immediate legal action against individuals.
