In-demand professions for the next 10 years identified 05.07.2026

Anton Vasilyev, Director of the IT college Hexlet, shared his forecasts regarding in-demand professions for the next ten years in an interview with Lenta.ru. The expert emphasized that instead of following rapidly outdated rankings, graduates should focus on sustainable market needs. Over the next decade, key demand will remain for specialists capable of creating, protecting, and implementing digital products. High-demand roles include developers, test engineers, analysts, and specialists in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These professionals will be needed not only in the IT sector but also in banking, medicine, industry, and the public sector. Vasilyev noted that due to the automation of routine tasks using AI, requirements for skills are increasing: specifically critical thinking, a systemic approach, and the ability to solve complex business problems. For a successful career, it is vital to develop learnability and the ability to communicate effectively within a team.
