In Lynette Hooker probe, Coast Guard seeks info about mystery sailboat 05.05.2026

U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service agents are publicly seeking information about a sailboat that may have been moored near the Soulmate in Aunt Pat's Bay, Bahamas, on the night of April 4, 2026, when Lynette Hooker, a 55-year-old Michigan woman, disappeared. Her husband, Brian Hooker, reported she fell overboard from an 8-foot dinghy with the boat keys, causing engine failure; he was detained by Bahamian authorities and released without charges. CGIS believes the sailboat's occupants could have relevant details and is conducting interviews while urging anonymous tips via the CGIS Tips app. A month later, Hooker remains missing with no charges filed in the case.
