In the West Bank, Israeli settlers take over Palestinian's dream home 03.07.2026

In the village of Jalud in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Palestinian Mohammad Salameh was building a home for his family, intended for his recently engaged son to start married life. However, before construction was finished, a group of Israeli settlers seized the property. Video verified by Reuters showed at least six settlers on the roof of the two-storey house. Salameh appealed to the Israeli military and police but received no assistance, and now fears the home is lost forever. He worries other houses in the area could face the same fate, stating, “Only God knows, if there is law and order then they will leave. If they succeeded with taking one, then the rest will follow.” Reuters could not reach the settlers for comment, and the Israeli military and police did not immediately respond.
