India complete record Test win over Afghanistan 08.06.2026

India secured their largest-ever Test victory, defeating Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs in a one-off Test match held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh stadium in New Chandigarh. The win was heavily influenced by the exceptional performance of debutant left-arm spinner Manav Suthar, who claimed seven wickets in the match, including 6-33 in Afghanistan's first innings. India had previously established a commanding position after scoring 564-8 declared, bolstered by centuries from KL Rahul and captain Shubman Gill. Afghanistan was bowled out for 152 in their first innings and, after being asked to follow-on, collapsed to 112 all out in their second innings, with Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav also contributing significantly with the ball.
