A crèche worker in Bengaluru, India, has been arrested following allegations of abusing toddlers at a daycare center operated for employees of the tech company Capgemini. The arrest came after videos surfaced online, allegedly showing female workers assaulting and intimidating children by shutting them in toilets and washing machines and spraying them with a bidet. Police have registered a case against five employees under India's penal code and juvenile justice law, with more arrests expected. Bengaluru police commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh identified the arrested accused as Vijayalakshmi, who has been sent to judicial custody. Two other caregivers were also questioned.
