India gives Bhutan fifth Rs 250 crore stimulus tranche, total reaches Rs 1,250 crore 25.06.2026

India handed over the fifth Rs 250 crore tranche to Bhutan under its Economic Stimulus Programme on Thursday, taking the total disbursed to Rs 1,250 crore. The Indian Embassy confirmed the release, noting that India has committed Rs 1,500 crore for the programme. Ambassador Sandeep Arya presented the cheque to Bhutan's Foreign Minister Lyonpo DN Dhungyel in Thimphu.
