Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has asserted that the INDIA bloc, or “INDIA janbandhan,” is firmly united for national elections with a constructive agenda covering the economy, Centre-state relations, constitutional protection, and foreign policy. In an exclusive interview with PTI Videos, he acknowledged recent setbacks, including the split in the TMC and the defection of six out of nine Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs, which he admitted the opposition had not anticipated a few months ago. However, Ramesh expressed confidence that the bloc would overcome these challenges, attributing them to the “desperate tactics” of Home Minister Amit Shah to fracture opposition parties.
