INFO OUEST-FRANCE. « La Normandie, grenier de la France » ? Hervé Morin relance les aides à l’investissement agricole 23.02.2026

Hervé Morin, President of the Normandy Region, is set to relaunch agricultural investment aid with a €60 million budget for 2026 and 2027, aiming to position Normandy as France's "breadbasket." This initiative will involve easing subsidy criteria, a shift from the previous "Normandie agriculture investissement" program which capped aid at €80,000 and a 30% subsidy rate in March 2025 due to high demand. The change comes as agricultural conditions have worsened, leading to a significant drop in investment applications from 300 to 100 per month, impacting sectors like dairy and grain production. Morin will announce these plans at the inauguration of the Normandy pavilion at the international agriculture show in Paris on February 23, 2026, prioritizing projects that enhance food sovereignty, such as poultry farming facilities.
