Political analyst Faton Mehmeti assesses that international calls for institutional stability following the June 7 elections have had limited impact, as political parties are not ready for compromise. He emphasizes that the success of negotiations regarding the governing coalition and the issue of the president depends primarily on the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), which is divided between a coalition with the Vetëvendosje Movement and new elections. Mehmeti suggests that the official wing of the LDK, led by Lumir Abdixhiku, may favor a coalition for stability, while another faction prefers new elections. Reaching an agreement on the president appears impossible, leaving the possibility of extraordinary elections.
