The pre-trial investigation into the criminal case of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party and owner of Electric Networks of Armenia, has concluded, resulting in a case file comprising 135 volumes. Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan stated on Facebook that the defense was allocated approximately 15 hours to review these extensive documents, criticizing the short timeframe as an acknowledgment by the Investigative Committee that the case lacks merit. Karapetyan has reportedly been unlawfully detained for 282 days for his public statements. The case has now been forwarded to the prosecutor for indictment approval and subsequent referral to court.
