Iran has warned that it will respond "forcefully" to any act of aggression from the United States, including limited strikes, following remarks by President Donald Trump suggesting such an option if Iran does not quickly reach a nuclear deal. Esmaïl Baghaï, the spokesperson for Iranian diplomacy, stated on Monday that there is no such thing as a "limited strike" and that any aggression would be met with a strong defense, citing Iran's inherent right to self-defense. This comes as indirect talks between Iran and the U.S., mediated by Oman, are scheduled to resume on Thursday in Switzerland, following a second session on February 17th amidst increased U.S. military presence in the region, including the deployment of two aircraft carriers.
