Iran : Un couple de Britanniques condamné à dix ans de prison pour espionnage 19.02.2026

A British couple, Lindsay and Craig Foreman, both 52, have been sentenced to ten years in prison in Iran for espionage, according to an announcement by their family on Thursday. The couple was arrested in January 2025 in the Kerman province while on a round-the-world motorcycle trip, and have consistently denied the charges. Their son, Joe Bennett, stated that the trial lasted only three hours and they were not allowed to present their defense, expressing deep concern for their well-being. British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper condemned the verdict as "outrageous and totally unjustifiable" and vowed to work for their safe return to the UK. The Foremans are currently held in Tehran's Evin prison, a facility criticized by human rights organizations, with concerns raised about their living conditions, food, and legal representation.
