DEFENSE IRGC Navy strikes two rogue super tankers misled by US into crossing Strait of Hormuz 14.07.2026

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy announced on Monday night that it struck and disabled two super oil tankers that deliberately ignored repeated warnings and attempted to navigate through a mined route in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC accused the US of trying to create chaos by inciting vessels to violate legal shipping lanes, and stated that the tankers endangered international maritime traffic by crossing restricted and mined waters instead of complying with safety regulations.
