Israel bombed Gaza on 36 of the past 40 days while the war raged in Iran 09.04.2026

Amidst a 40-day war involving the United States and Iran, which saw a two-week ceasefire agreed upon for Saturday talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, Israel has maintained a near-daily bombing campaign in Gaza. From February 28 to April 8, Israel attacked Gaza on 36 of those 40 days, resulting in at least 107 deaths and 342 injuries. This ongoing conflict has severely restricted humanitarian aid, with the Rafah crossing closed and life-saving supplies withheld. Medical evacuations have been drastically limited, with only 8 percent of the agreed-upon number of patients permitted to leave Gaza for treatment, and only 20 percent of stipulated food and medical supply trucks allowed entry, exacerbating a severe humanitarian crisis where 77 percent of the population faces high levels of food insecurity.
