Israel charges settler for killing Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen 06.08.2026

Israeli prosecutors have filed an indictment against settler Yinon Levi for the reckless manslaughter of Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen, a 31-year-old teacher and father of three, in the occupied West Bank. The charges, filed in an Israeli district court on Thursday, also include armed trespassing and malicious property damage. This marks the first indictment of an Israeli civilian for killing a Palestinian in the West Bank since 2019, according to Israeli human rights group Yesh Din.
