Israeli air strikes hit Lebanese city of Tyre despite Iranian warning to stop attacks 11h ago

Israel conducted air and artillery strikes across southern Lebanon on Tuesday, killing at least 13 people, including eight in the city of Tyre, despite Iran's warning to cease attacks. The Israeli military issued an evacuation order for Tyre and its surrounding areas, for the first time including the Christian quarter, citing alleged Hezbollah activity. This escalation follows a brief pause in hostilities after an Israeli strike on Beirut targeted Hezbollah, leading to an exchange of fire between Iran and Israel. Lebanese media reported civilian casualties in Tyre and other villages, while the Israeli military stated its continued operations to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure and reported killing a militant who crossed into Israel. The conflict, which began on March 2, has resulted in thousands of deaths and widespread displacement in Lebanon.
