Israeli airstrike kills three Lebanese journalists, Israel says it targeted one 2h ago

Israeli forces killed three Lebanese journalists in southern Lebanon on Saturday, with the Israeli military stating it targeted one reporter, Ali Shaib, whom it accused of being a Hezbollah intelligence operative involved in reporting Israeli soldier locations and inciting against them. The Lebanese information minister later confirmed Fatima Ftouni and her brother Mohammed were also killed. Lebanon's health ministry reported that medics were directly targeted en route to the scene, contributing to an escalating pace of attacks on healthcare workers, with over 50 killed in Lebanon. The World Health Organization condemned attacks on health workers, who are protected under international humanitarian law. Hezbollah denied Shaib was part of its intelligence unit, calling Israel's claims a "desperate attempt to evade responsibility."
